I have been so busy with illustration assignments lately, that I haven’t had time to mention that I have a sale going on in my shop until Sep. 9th but since I didn’t promote it soon enough, I’m thinking about extending it until the end of the month. Awesome New Homes For Original Drawings

3 original sketchbook drawings recently found awesome new homes from my online shop. Their new homes are going to be in Oregon, Tennessee and England. I will be listing new originals that were originally going to shows with me (but not anytime soon thanx to COVID-19) on a regular basis.

San Diego Comic Con Print Sale

Back in the late fall I applied for the first time to be juried into the Artist Alley for THE comic con of all...The San Diego Comic Con....and found out not too long later that... I got in! I was and am still blown away that I got in but wasn't sure what was going to be happening with the whole Covid19 situation. SDCC will be doing a Comic-Con@Home Online Exhibit Hall which will be a virtual show which started today and will close on Sunday the 26. You can go to https://comic-con.org click on Exhibit Hall then Artist Alley where you will find my table number BB-11 which you can pull up on the downloadable pdf on the page. All artists in this years show will also be rolled over for next year to be live in San Diego hopefully if the Covid situation has been resolved.

Although I won't be there live this year, the virtual show has given me the incentive to finish my online store for the show instead of using my Etsy shop. My shop is live just in time for SDCC! I now have available premium prints, standard prints, prints on wood, prints on metal and some original drawings and paintings for sale. 

So being in line with SDCC there is a sale going on right now on my premium prints in the shop until SDCC ends on July 26. The sale includes my new title “Along The King’s Road to Avaz”.  And of course, FREE SHIPPING on all domestic orders. If outside the U.S. just contact me and we'll work it out.

"Shroom With A View" New Art

Here’s a peek at my new print release "A Shroom With A View". For this watercolor and ink piece, I went back to using my Pilot Namiki Falcon fountain pen for the line work instead of the crow quill pen I have been using for awhile now. I had forgotten how much more fun and free flowing drawing with the fountain pen is! I switched to the crow quill years ago because I wanted to mix a blackish brown acrylic ink (which drys almost immediately) instead of the waterproof black ink in the fountain pen which I have to wait a day or so to dry before applying the watercolors to it...which is a real drag! And I can’t find a brown fountain pen ink to mix with the black that won’t bleed when the paint is applied. But not having to keep dipping the crow quill pen in the ink continuously is another real plus. I will be going back to my Namiki Falcon more often now. By the way...the original is available.
