I’m excited to share with you all my most recent piece I created last month titled “The Dragon’s Share”, watercolor & ink. This piece resonates with me because some of you may know, I’m a bourbon guy and it’s about time I painted something that resonates with that. Instead of a treasure hoard this dragon’s hoard is a bourbon cellar set in his cave. The title is a playoff the bourbon term, The Angel’s Share, which means the portion of bourbon that evaporates through the oak barrel during aging — roughly 3–5% per year in Kentucky. The name comes from the idea that the angels are taking their portion as the spirit matures.
I wanted to give it that feeling as if you just opened the door to a bourbon cellar/cave and there he was in all his hoarding glory.
This is one of my favorite pieces I’ve done in awhile!!!

Prints are available on my website now.

Next week I will be back in Seattle at Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) in the Artist Alley. It’s been a few years since I’ve done that show and looking forward to being back in the land of Amazon, Starbucks and Bigfoot. 😊
I’m excited to share my new watercolor and ink piece I painted a couple weeks ago…“Knock Knock”! The idea of a dragon knocking on a door, looking for a hobbit size snack is one I’ve been wanting to bring to life for awhile now. I keep a list of ideas for paintings that I write down and for some reason, I kept coming back to this one. Posted it as an ink drawing last month on social media and decided it needed a life in color. I will have prints of Knock Knock with me at ECCC.
Prints are available on my website now.
If I don’t see you at ECCC, I look forward to seeing you in my travels at some point in 2026. Till then have a safe and prosperous year filled with abundance!

Just back from another unforgettable IX Arts in Reading, PA!
Lisa, Skye, and I rolled in late Monday night, still buzzing from an incredible week. It’s hard to describe just how special this show is. Being part of such a prestigious event is an absolute honor—not only for the chance to share and sell original art, see mind-blowing work, and connect with collectors, but also to be surrounded by our art family. Every year that circle grows a little bigger, and that sense of community is truly priceless.
At the show I previewed the original watercolor and ink painting of “The Black Shadow Of Angmar”. I’ve been wanting to create the captain of the “Lord Of The Rings” Nazgul for a long time now.
I have prints of “The Black Shadow Of Angmar” in my printshop. If you are interested in the original, contact me here and I’ll let you know if it’s still available.

I hope all is going epically well for you!
I had another great Dragon Con this year on Laber Day weekend! Sales were great and it was awesome seeing all the familiar faces and meeting new ones. Two of the hits at the show were my recent pieces “Ripple” and “Soft Side Of The Dark Throne” which I do have available as prints in my shop. The originals are also available…just reach out to me at fianzilla@gmail.com if you are interested. I took last week to come up for air and catch up and hit the ground running.
Now we are gearing up for the most geographically convenient show I do and that is Art in Autumn which is on Saturday the 20th here in Weaverville on Main Street a block and a half from my house. It’s always a great one day show. If you are in the area come by and see me. Mention this email and get 10% off your purchase.
Hope to see you there!
