Just back from another unforgettable IX Arts in Reading, PA!

Lisa, Skye, and I rolled in late Monday night, still buzzing from an incredible week. It’s hard to describe just how special this show is. Being part of such a prestigious event is an absolute honor—not only for the chance to share and sell original art, see mind-blowing work, and connect with collectors, but also to be surrounded by our art family. Every year that circle grows a little bigger, and that sense of community is truly priceless.

At the show I previewed the original watercolor and ink painting of “The Black Shadow Of Angmar”. I’ve been wanting to create the captain of the “Lord Of The Rings” Nazgul for a long time now.

Dragon Con And Art In Autumn

I hope all is going epically well for you!

I had another great Dragon Con this year on Laber Day weekend! Sales were great and it was awesome seeing all the familiar faces and meeting new ones. Two of the hits at the show were my recent pieces “Ripple” and “Soft Side Of The Dark Throne” which I do have available as prints in my shop. Now we are gearing up for the most geographically convenient show I do and that is Art in Autumn which is on Saturday the 20th here in Weaverville on Main Street a block and a half from my house. IX Arts Main Show 2024

Got back last week from another amazing and magical IX Arts Main Show in Reading Pennsylvania last week. The Main show has over 90 of the top fantasy artists in the industry and to be chosen to be in that is truly an honor! It also the most fun you can have hanging with your art family and making new friends as well as selling art and the awesome networking possibilities there. It is the only show we can bring our dog Skye with us to because Lisa does not have to help me at my table and spend time with her at the show and around town. Skye even got her own pass into the Showcase show Friday and Saturday night and got all the attention her beautiful big heart desired.

I regret so much that I didn’t take more pics but I was enjoying being there so much…I forgot. 😊

Hanging with my Art family every night, taking over the Doubletree bar and the nearby restaurants with them is always a blast but super special this year because it was very therapeutic to get a semblance of normalcy and a plethora of love after going through hurricane Helene and all that came with that and the things we are going to be dealing with because of that for a long while.

A big highlight of the week was being part of the IX Jam session with the band The Weathercocks and other artists that were in the show. It was soooooo much fun!!! I got to sing Black Sabbath paranoid, and Led Zeppelin rock ‘n’ roll….how insanely great is that?!

Special massively big thanx to Jeannie and Patrick Wilshire for putting on such an amazingly epic and loving event!!!! You both soooo rock!!!!❤️
