IX Arts Main Show

March Of the Black Queen

Finally coming up for air after an amazing week at IX Arts in Reading, PA! Four of my framed originals on the wall—March of the Black Queen (my most recent painting), A Quiet Spell, The Soft Side Of the Dark Throne, and Perils of an Oblivious Nature—found their forever homes, along with smaller original paintings, mini paintings, drawings, prints, and merch. A huge Thank You to all the collectors and everyone who took a piece of my imagination home with them!

The magic of IX goes well beyond selling art. It’s being surrounded by some of the best in the industry and feeling the support, mutual admiration, and love that come with the friendships made there. Honestly, there aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful it really is!

Skye, the official managing director of IX’s HR department (yes, she’s even on their website in the “Who We Are” section!), had a great time at the Showcase Friday and Saturday nights. Sporting her vampire outfit and dragon wings, she took her duties seriously, dispensing love and a preternaturally soothing calm to all and sundry. She sooooo lives to be part of the magic and is already counting the days until next year!

I also got to sing four songs with fellow IX artist Mark Zug and his band, The Weathercocks, Thursday night in the GoggleWorks auditorium. This was my third year joining them, and once again, it was a rocking awesome time!

Big thanx to the IX staff, including the two Brians, Brian David Frank and and Brian Scott Walters, and all the volunteers who make it happen. It couldn’t be done without you!!!

But the biggest, most heartfelt thanx go to IX’s organizers and directors, Patrick Wilshire and Jeannie Zaengle Wilshire, for being the magicians who bring this wonderful gathering to life every year. We love you both!!!

Like Skye, Lisa and I are soooooo looking forward to next year!!!!
