New Print Release and Show Schedule

“The Perils Of An Oblivious Nature” is my most recent watercolor & ink painting illustrating the dangers of not paying attention to your surroundings…it’s pretty much a self portrait of how I can be without the likeness. Those kitty cats…what rascals they can be at times!

I will have different types of prints of this bad boy with me along with a lot more art (prints and some original paintings and drawings) at all the art shows I will be doing until late October. See the list below to learn more.

New Print And New Event This Weekend

“Night Stalker” watercolor & ink. The great horned owl (Bubo virginianus), also known as the tiger owl (originally derived from early naturalists' description as the "winged tiger" or "tiger of the air") has always fascinated me and I wanted to create my own version with that description in mind. They are also good omens as well! In my book, a horned owl has to have horns…I’m just sayin’.

I will have different types of prints of this bad boy with me along with a lot more art (prints and some original paintings and drawings) this Saturday and Sunday from 10am-11pm at Eluvium Brewing where I will be setup for the Weaverville Art Safari artist studio tours. I setup there because I am the permanent artist there and it’s right around the corner from my house, I don’t have to deal with cleaning up my studio AND there’s beer and food there….its a win win! I hope to see you there!!!!!

New Dragon Print Release!!!

My new watercolor & ink painting “A Chivalrous Victory Of Sorts” depicts an ages old struggle between good and evil. Although in this case, you wonder how evil the dragon really was and if the knight is having doubts about his career choice. I love the contrasts in the composition. A tiny thin knight that has slain a massive beast with giant teeth. A small amount of blood pooling out of the dragons mouth instead of large amounts spewing everywhere. A few trees toppled ij the background instead of carnage everywhere. Those small details helped make this piece come together for me. I hope it does the same for you.

Hot New Print In My Shop!

“Forgotten Gods Of The Crown Lands” was created originally for a group art show at the Hollerhouse art gallery in Bristol TN. where the theme for the show was “fire”. When coming up with this idea, I wanted something to tie into the region (which is the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina) as well as with the fire theme and Wa La…I came up with this flaming hot idea!

2024 Year Of The Dragon
