New Unicorn Print Available Now.

"God Starts All Over And Tries Again" is a my most recent watercolor and ink painting. What happens when we destroy ourselves and God starts all over again with a new genesis…a new Adam and Eve. Of course the setting is in my neck of the woods of Asheville, NC.

It is the first one I've created after my surgery in November. It is now available in my shop as a standard, premium or print on wood.

I hope to see you in my shop and/or on one of my summer/fall show tours this year.

News From Fian Arroyo Art

I hope all is going epically well for you!

I haven't posted any updates lately due to personal issues in during the last month and a half. This illustration is exactly how I’m feeling right now. I’m taking it slowly on my journey to recovery from the events I am about to tell you about. 

First of all, I went to Puerto Rico to help with my dad who was having a rough time with his chemo and dialysis. Well a few days into our visit I started getting violent abdomen pains and bloating. I called my doctor back home from Puerto Rico and scheduled a visit with her when we returned home. She was shocked to see what was going on with me and that I had lost 10 pounds in 5 days (not that I have a lot to give anyways). She ordered a CT scan right away where the results showed I had 2 abscesses in my small intestine and had to go to the emergency room. I was hospitalized for 11 days going through major surgery to remove two infected abscesses on the outside of my small intestine and removing 18 inches of small intestine and stitching them back together. While they were at it, they removed my appendix due to a benign tumor found on it...so I kind of got a two for one deal there. It could have been worse. If the abscesses had burst it could have been life threatening. The surgeon Dr. Deschner and his team at the GenesisCare Surgical Specialists here in Asheville, NC were amazing and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. During this whole ordeal I have lost 20 pounds and the road to recovery will take 6-8 weeks.

To add to it all, my father passed away during the course of all this which has made my recovery that much harder.

There is a positive bookend to all this that happened last weekend. I got the epically great news that I was selected to exhibit in the MAIN SHOW in the 2023 IX art show! The show will run from October 18th through October 22nd, 2023, at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, PA.
This is the most prestigious and highly competitive show featuring over 90 of the finest imaginative artists in the world. I am sooooooo blown away and honored to be included among them!!!!!

New Print Release And Show News

I am excited to announce my new print release that was officially introduced at the San Diego comic con where I had a table in the Artist Alley. “Stormbringer” is a new digital art print that was created for H-street skateboards for a new skateboard deck coming out in the near future with the possibility of other viking related graphics. It is now available in my shop here.

I will also have some with me at GalaxyCon this weekend in Raleigh, NC where I will be in the Artist Alley at table F-4. If you are going to be there come on by my table and mention this post and get a free sticker. :-)

I will also be at C2E2 in Chicago Aug. 5-7, Emerald City Comic con in Seattle Aug.18-21, DragonCon in Atlanta Sep.1-5, Art In autumn in Weaverville,NC Sep. 17 and New York City Comic Con Oct. 6-9.

I have a few new exciting things to share with you!

First…fresh out of the oven!!! “Wanderlust & The Kindness Of Strangers” watercolor & ink. I saw a pic of a scooter like this and thought to myself how cool it would be to incorporate something like it in an image and this popped into my head. A Transtemporal passage of some kind with a fantasy twist seemed like a fun idea…what do you think?

I will have prints of this with me in my summer art show/comic con tour which starts this Sunday in Asheville, NC with the local favorite The Big Crafty, then I will be at the San Diego Comic Con - July 22-24, then GalaxyCon in Raleigh July 28-31, then C2E2 in Chicago Aug. 5-7, then Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle Aug. 18-21 then, DragonCon in Atlanta September 1-5, then one that is literally right down the street from my house in Weaverville, NC and a great one day show Art In Autumn September 17, last but not least the Big Apples New York City Comic Con 6-9. New Instagram Account For Fian Arroyo Art

In April my Instagram account was hacked and I was locked out of my account. Shortly after that it was deleted and I have not been able to retrieve it since.

I am starting ALL OVER AGAIN with a new account fian_arroyo_art.

I am reaching out to all who have followed me in the past (and to anyone who hasn’t but would like to) to help me get back to where I was in sharing my artwork to the world.

I believe things happen for a reason and I would like to believe that with this fresh new start, I can make my presence on IG even bigger and better than before.

In other news! Here's a new watercolor and ink piece I did as a commission recently. It is titled “Mysteries, Legends & Tales Long Forgotten”. It is based on the world turtle myth held by many native American Indian tribes as well as in Chinese and Hindu mythology. Instead of showing the whole world as a globe, I symbolized it with a forest and added a fantasy element with a unicorn. You can buy standard, premium or wood prints for it in my store.
