Beach doodle in my sketchbook I did while at the beach on vacation with my family this past week, one of a few. I'm too restless to sit in a chair and bake...so I bake and draw...kill two birds with one stone. :-) I draw on a Moleskine sketchbook with either a Pilot Namiki Falcon fountain pen or Faber Castell Penn India ink markers or both. Sometimes I may even add a quick watercolor wash. Great to do while on vacation or even in between illustration deadlines...cheap therapy. ;-)

Quick Step By Step Video Of The Creation Of Jabberwocky
Finished illustration for the Wonderland theme show at the ZaPow Art Gallery in Asheville N.C. that opens next week. All pieces in the show are from the book Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Each artist was assigned an excerpt from the book, mine was one with the Jabberwocky. There is just a short passage in the book with no description of the creature...plenty of room for me to run with it...just the way I like it! Choosing Between Two Troll Illustrations
Two days ago I posted on my personal Facebook page and Facebook illustration page and got a great response regarding which version of The Blue Ridge Mountain Troll I should chose to hang in the "Spooky" themed show at the ZaPow gallery in Asheville N.C. which starts this weekend. I needed to know that afternoon to let the printer know and almost immediately comments were flooding in. Finally decompressed after an amazing 5 days in Indianapolis attending the Gen Con gaming convention with the game company Mindtwister. I sold a lot of prints, signed a ton of Mindtwister games my art is on, made some great contacts for possible future work and had an amazing time enjoying what Indy had to offer. Here are some highlights of my trip.
