Wishing you this Thanksgiving finds you with plenty of reasons to be grateful.
I was Interviewed in a podcast this past weekend for the ZaPows Art galleries series "Illustration and a Beer" Episode 30 "Spaghetti-O eyebrows". It was a fun interview. I can't believe I brought up my Spaghetti-O eyebrows incident. This fun interview covers my illustration career, why we moved to Asheville NC from Miami, Florida, my work in the ZaPow gallery and of course Spaghetti-O Eyebrows and more. Check it out here http://www.zapow.com/podcasts.html
Hindsight is 20/20...i should have taken a pic of the interview.
Had the honor of being interviewed on Friday Hangout last Friday by my buddies Carlos Castellanos and Bob Ostrom for their Drawn By Success Site. We discussed:
The current state and challenges of the illustration market, marketing strategy, developing multiple streams of income and a whole lot more - See more at:
Here's a pic of the Paper House booth at Toyfair in NYC this week with the skateboard monster cutout featuring artwork I did for The Fian Arroyo Collection for stickers and magnets. If your at Toy Fair check out booth 2860.
Here's the final illustration of George Washington turning in a 221 year old overdue book I created for Scholastic News. The sketch was done in Corel Painter. I really love the way you can draw a pencil sketch using Painter and making it look like a real pencil sketch. The final art was created in Photoshop CS-4 using layer masks and the airbrush tool as the primary tools.
What caption do you think would make a good one for this illustration?
