Illustration for a skateboard

Below is a new illustration I drew up for H-street skateboards. Its the model for one their riders Mike Owen. They wanted a regal kind of look with an image that looks like something between the American eagle and German eagle. Its not my typical humorous style but a little more realistic, kind of like the scratchboard illustrations I used to do. I can't wait to see the final product on the skateboard and on t-shirts. When I get them in I'll be sure to post pics up here on Fian Arroyo Illustration.

I should be finishing up the Panda art for Grind For Life, from my previous post, this week. Finally have a little time to fit that in. I'll post it up when I do.

One of the several things I have on the drawing board right now, is a children's book for the ipad. Working with a very talented and driven writer named Julia Dweck. After this book we have another that we are going to work on. I will post something from this project next week....I promise!

Illustration On Skateboard Deck For Charity

Here is something on the board at Fian Arroyo Illustration...right now. Donating my illustration services to fight cancer (my mother died from it...so its personal) to Grind For Life an organization that raises money through skateboarding events and an online shop to help people with cancer...great organization. This is a sketch in progress for a skateboard deck. Buy a deck and help kick cancers ass!!!!

I'll post final art when it is completed.

Toyfair 2012 and Fian.com

Just got back last week from Toyfair in NYC. I attended as a guest of MindtwisterUSA to help promote and sign autographs, for the games I did artwork for last year, Skateboard Madness and Fandooble. It was an amazing time, hanging with the Mindtwister family and checking out all the new products coming out this year. Got to pitch some ideas for a new product line and got a great response. So great, that i will be starting on that real soon partnering up with Jesse DenHerder Design. The only bummer was that I caught a chest cold while up there and am still trying to shake it...UGH!

Below is a pic of me at Toyfair next to an Incredible Hulk made out of Legos....I think I could take him on. Just one out of a ton of really cool things to check out at Toyfair.

Fian.com gets some tweaks done

Just tweaked the site with some font changes and switched the slideshow on the home page to images in my character design and mascots portfolio. I also added some images to the portfolios. Lemmewhatyathink!

Working on art for a logo for a new fishing tackle company coming out soon. Still trying to figure out direction with that one to see what kind of killer image can be incorporated into the logo. Also, I am starting on a new children's book about a surfing platypus, its going to be super fun to do!!!

I'll keep ya posted on both projects as well as posting art from recent projects that are still waiting to get clearance for from my clients. One is a series of character designs for children's vitamins and the other are illustrations for a supercross motocross board game, can't wait to post them.

Board games with Fian Arroyo art on top 10 list

Check out this website in Chicago where they ranked Skateboard Madness and Fandooble (the two board games I did illustrations and character designs for, that came out this year) as being in the top 5 family board games for 2011. AWESOME! Check them out and see for yourself!  http://www.timeoutchicagokids.com/indoor-outdoor-play/indoor-play/75739/our-favorite-new-board-card-and-dice-games-of-2011
